In this guest talk, we are proud to have Ms. Chai Wanqi to join us for a guest seminar on Robotics and AI. Ms. Chai is a product architect of the Baidu Autonomous Driving Unit, and has worked in the first-tier Internet companies in China and the United States, and is a core member of Baidu Apollon Open Year Plan. Chai is responsible for the commercialization of L4 level autonomous driving products and the application in intelligent transportation and road coordination. She also led the research and development and commercial operation of the first batch of L4 autonomous driving products in China, such as Apollon and Neolithic, and helped many partners to realize the industry-leading mass production of autonomous driving products and batch operations worldwide.

In this talk, Ms. Chai will share with us the application of autonomous driving in pandemic situation and future transportation. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, there has been an explosive growth in the demand for autonomous driving products. With the analysis of actual cases of autonomous driving in the 2020 epidemic and the exploration of future intelligent transportation development in conjunction with national transportation strategies, this lecture hopes to give some suggestions on how to rationally view the impact of the epidemic on autonomous driving, how to identify the development direction of technology and applications, and how to better integrate the business and research direction with industry trends or environmental trends, etc.
